On this week’s Beyond The Grid we hear from Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur who has one of the toughest jobs in Formula 1.
Ferrari’s wait for a record 32nd World Championship is set to continue in 2023, but the question on many fans’ lips is whether the most successful team in F1 history are at least heading in the right direction.
Vasseur arrived at the team prior to the start of the 2023 campaign, having been the Alfa Romeo Team Principal beforehand, to help spearhead that journey so who better to answer that question?
Ahead of their home race at Monza, Vasseur – cracking jokes throughout the podcast – tells Tom Clarkson about the culture at Ferrari and how it is like no other he has experienced in F1. He also explains why this job is the ‘biggest challenge’ of his career.
The Frenchman goes on to talk about the development of the team’s drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the team’s strengths and weaknesses, and he also sends a message out to the Tifosi.
