In Mexico City, Verstappen, two-time world champion of Red Bull, scored 25 points and extended his lead to 124 points over Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. From Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc again took away the runner-up spot in the championship. 11 points of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz were pulled out by Mercedes’ George Russell. Lewis Hamilton’s performance gave him a second place which is equal to Sainz’s four points. Sebastian Vettel had overtaken Valtteri Bottas for 10th, and Pierre Gasly’s 13th position had been overtaken by Kevin Magnussen. Alpine protested against the penalty that was given to Fernando Alonso due to his car issue. If this fails, Esteban Ocon will get two points and also Magnussen, Vettel and Tsunoda will get more points in this competition.
